meet xian

Hey hey!

Happy that you bump into this site. I’m Xian, a petite, bubbly Asian medical practitioner. Originally from Brunei Darussalam. Medically trained in Australia, I now reside in Bentong, Pahang a small town in the centre of Malaysia with my husband.

I absolutely love sharing knowledge. My earliest memory was playing pretend: plopping my 3 year old brother in his pram, trying to teach him how to pronounce the right words. Decades later, the things that “spark joy” in my life is still teaching and sharing knowledge. It is extremely rewarding being able to comfort, care and teach my patients ways to take care of themselves mentally and physically. After sometime, I came to realize that sometimes words are even more powerful than medicine.

You’ll see medical information on my blog, but my philosophy around medicine is to make medicine easy to understand for everyone. As I have a special interest in antenatal scans, I will focus more on pregnancy issues, pre-pregnancy care and also newborns. Hopefully new mothers or mothers-to-be out there will find these information helpful 🙂
